Exta Post; Film Work

I FINISHHHHHHH !!! i got the chance to finish my work today. The text and the pictures look wonderful. i am very happy to show my project and to let everybody see how hard i have been working. I watch it for my self, i understand the point I'm trying to stand out and my own film had me thinking about the questions that i had ask. I think that everyone would really enjoy what is happening in the film and the pictures that i picked. The pictures are from the art gallery and from a website that i find. I'M happy with my results and i cant wait to see what happens THURSDAY ! ♥♥

Extra Blog; Sound Update

I finally finish my sound and with the help of my little cousin. I even got the chance to place it on the imovie flim. Things are coming together and looking great. The sound goes right with the setting and it brings out my main point in the movie. It sets the mood and i think that the music we created could help a person really sit down and think about the point im trying to make.

Artist Statement

I begin my piece by visiting Alsdorf Galleries because it was something new that I felt that I might be able to learn from the gallery. In the gallery there was a lot of artwork that had things to do with Indian and their history. The artwork had caught my attention because it was weird but also something new. From the images that I choose, it had seem that their culture were about creatures. All the men or women were some type of animal. The background that picked fort the collage was shape. I choose shapes because I notice that they were into a lot of shapes and pattern when it came into their clothes. I wasn’t really looking for a color but I love how after putting them together made people want to focus on the pictures because they stood out. The colors, pictures, and the background came together to really help somebody focus on their culture or their perspectives of the Indian art. When may work is going well, I am filled with a sense of happiness and accomplishment. After finishing my work I feel that I have done something good or accomplished a goal. The work really helps me to be proud for what I have done. When people see my work, I’d like them to tell me how they feel about my work. To ask questions about what is happening in the work and what are their thoughts. Knowing how other people feel make me learn a lot from them and help me improve my work.

Extra Post; Sounds

I decided to get my little cousin to help me to make my music for my presentation. I would like to make a sound that is strong but peaceful as well, something like ms. keys or beyonce. If i am not able to get my music together i decied to use the people vioce that i interview for the background and dont show their face. Their alot of thoughts running through my mind but i will think of something by tomorrow.

Yesterday since i didnt attend teen lab because i was sick. I decided to work on my project at home. My mother help me come with more ideas and interview questions i can ask people. I decided to go through the musuem to look for more imagines and paintings. the things that i would like to compare with today and the past is thw clothes, attitude, and the culture. The ideas that i have with imagines and the interviews, i think my project could turn out pretty good. Cant wait to see how it turns out!

New Theme; Extra Post

Today i decided to change the theme of what i am doing. I decided to do a theme about media and how the change the image of a women. I wanted to bring out the point that women are more than what media makes them be. In media women are only known for their looks, bodies and not their looks. I would like to bring the point out that women are more than what society or the media imagine them to be. Cant wait to start. :)

Make Up Time; Art Institute Experience

At the Art Institute I was walking around into i found this imagine. I like this picture because of the background and tress. It reminded me of the nature and the small home in background also made me think of being alone or peacefulness. The river or lake made also think about all fishes that could possible be swimming. I love nature and animals so mad a good connection to it. The imagine is called Fisherman Cottage. I hope to have a cottage such as this that i can visit to get away fro my business days.

ON Tuesday my birthday, we went to a college fair. During the college fair i got a chance to look at other colleges that can help with my major. I would like to be a doctor or just being on the medical field. So far one of the college that i like are Coe University. The college is small and i really connected with college representive. I felt that if i can connect with her than i probable will be able to connect with other girls like her. I love the science program that they have pre-med and i hope to visit the school soon. :)

Update On Proect

Today i worked on my project. I got the chance to add my pictures and give it the effects that I want it to have. Some of the pictures are with mothers and their child, sisters or even an old imagine of eve. Some of these pictures help me capture the meaning of women are strong, caring, hard working or even their strong sister hood.

his first imagine is sisterhood and i plan to tell how women stay together to make us strong.

This other imagine is called Venus and Cupid. Which is the old story about how cupid love his mother and their relationship. This represent the strong relationship that a mother has with their child and showing the loving care they have for them.

My Brainstorming Ideas

Today is November 14, 2011 the day before my birthday(yea!). In teen lab we sat down and brainstorm about what do we want our theme to be for the project. I choose women because i believe that their are not enough strong or positive message about women today. So i research pictures of women that i believe that could be on my slides. I believe that women are strong, hard working, positive and etc. So all the information that i get from off online and the people that i interview to make a conclusion. But an picture that i pick is a woman and child because a mother is strong.

I also decided to put a picture of Oprah Winfrey because she is known for being strong from all her hard work she been through. I learned that by coming from the bottom or the hood, you could always find a way to make it. So Oprah Winfrey is a good example of a strong, hard working woman.

It is November 10, 2011 and we seen a political dj by the name Sharon Hayes. She mixed up speeches, quotes, and interviews of people that were part of American History. She only used voice recording so that maybe she could get the idea of the history that America has. The voice recording was coming from people important such as John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Eldridge Cleaver, Eleanor Roosevelt, and etc. I like the performance because instead of just looking at a video, I got the chance to listen because of video i really don't pay attention to what is happen instead of what people are saying. IN her gallery i found quote that standout to me. The quote said "For too long i have remained silent" by Bud Berman. I like the quote because their are a lot people who are to silent and don't speak up as much. It really had me thinking and wanting to talk more or speak my mind when it comes to something. Yesterday we made sounds from Garage Band by recording. In my group we record sounds in the background such as chairs moving, waterfall, copy machine sounds and etc. Than after we mad our recording we made our own beats to go with the sound. It was fun and i enjoy having a day to become a dj.

Today, I have a new project to work on. On the project I have to choose a theme and explain the theme by making a video. In the video there should be imagines, sound, text etc. My theme that i would choose would be fear or memory. They both are strong words that can be express in many ways such as color or imagine. I believe that people dont focus on these words as much and maybe it should be. I plan on interviewing some classmates, friends, family, teachers and etc. This sounds fun and i cant wait to start! :)
